Trees Downed and Tent Damaged at Texas Campground Following Severe Storm

On May 4, after a heavy thunderstorm passed through north-central Texas all night, trees fell and tents remained damaged at a campsite in Ennis, Texas. The National Weather Service has set up a thunderstorm warning to warn of winds, hail, and tornadoes up to 70 mph. On Tuesday, they said they were still assessing the damage caused by the tornado on Monday night. A video shared by Dawn Kelley-Jordy showed that the campsite had damaged trees and her tent had collapsed and was immersed in a storm. “That was our tent. We were in it [the storm] hit. Many trees have fallen. Last night, one person came down the road and blocked the exit. And the boat dock is underwater, “she told Storyful. Credits: Dawn Kelley-Jordy via Storyful
