The Taliban can’t be trusted despite assurances of ‘apologists at the UN’

Gema Tonini of GT Communications says the Taliban is unreliable, despite the guarantee of “experts in the United Nations and elsewhere.”

The Daily Telegraph reports that the Australian Islamic Council has been accused of promoting a forum featuring Taliban spokespersons.

An online leaflet for the event entitled “Afghanistan Islamic Emirate and Diaspora Muslims” states that it welcomes attendees, “for or against” the recent developments involving the Taliban.

“My benchmark is always a Holocaust denial. Don’t take a breath. It’s an extreme. Taliban, it feels like it falls into the same extreme bucket,” Tognini said.

“These are summary executions and ignite people while they are alive. They are not like” Oh, we are a fringe group. ”

“This is a violent and tyrannical regime that hates women and children.”
