No mask could mean $50,000 fine with new rules in force at Perth Airport

There are certain exceptions when a person who has to wear a mask can temporarily take it off.

This includes communicating with the hearing impaired, driving a car alone, eating, drinking and taking medicine when sitting.

Airport people can also remove their masks when police, security, airport, or flight staff are trying to verify their identities.

Persons subject to self-quarantine notices using private vehicles must notify the driver and other passengers instructed to quarantine.

Last week, Western Australian Prime Minister Mark Magawan called on all Western Australians to buy masks.

“My advice to all families, all households, and everyone in Washington is to make sure you have a reusable mask,” McGowan said.

“Government is in the hands of millions as needed.

“Buy a reusable mask for everyone in the community just in case.”
