On Tuesday, the Mexican president promised a detailed investigation to find the person responsible for at least 25 deaths in the collapse of the elevated subway with a history of problems.
The pledge came when the capital paramedics worked on Monday night to recover the bodies of the victims still trapped in the wreckage of a carriage that had fallen to the ground.
Dozens of people were injured in the accident. This is one of the worst accidents in history that hit the Mexico City subway, questioning the standards for building and maintaining networks used by millions of people every day.
President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said at a daily press conference that “a thorough investigation will be conducted … to find out the truth” and an independent international expert assists the prosecutor’s investigation. Then he added.

Rescue operations had to be suspended at night for fear of the wreckage being too unstable, but then resumed with the help of a crane.
Many of the killed were identified by Tuesday night, breaking the narrow hopes of family and friends desperately looking for the missing.
At one hospital, Jose Luis Vigil was looking for a neighbor who feared he would be crushed in a car when a concrete pillar collapsed.
“I don’t know if he’s dead or alive. His stepfather told us he was dead, but the reporter shot a video of him trapped and asking for help,” he told AFP. Told.
Shainbaum promised a structural inspection of the affected subway line, which remained closed and promised to fully investigate the cause of the accident with the help of a Norwegian company.

In January of this year, a fire at a metro control center killed one person and injured 29 inhaled smoke.
