Great Otway National Park: Search on for teenager lost during family hike

Police are searching for a 14-year-old Melbourne boy who lost his way while hiking his family in southern Victoria.

Josh left his family on Saturday night while hiking the Phillips Track in Wyelangta’s Great Otway National Park, about 200km southwest of the city.

Shortly before 7:40 pm, a teenager was found by a group of campers and a local farmer near an air-crossing campsite about 7 km from the missing location.

A teenager from Dandenong, southeastern Melbourne, is about 180 centimeters tall, has a slim figure and dark brown shaved hair.

According to police, he wears black shorts, a hooded top and a red hat.

Anyone who sees him will be prompted to contact the Apollo Bay Police Station.
