Internet users reported the issue to H & M website administrators, and the Shanghai Planning and Natural Resources Department ordered a change to the issue, according to a statement from Shanghai officials.

Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region government spokesman Xu Guixiang said companies that wield “big sticks of sanctions” against the northwestern region would only hurt themselves.
“China is no longer China in 1840, but the Chinese people are suffering from the hegemony of a great power and bullying will never come back,” the South China Morning Post said in a press conference with China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
H & M disappears from China’s internet
H & M also mysteriously disappeared from China’s apps and maps last week.
H & M’s approximately 500 stories in China did not appear on the ride-haling app Didi Chuxing or the map service operated by Alibaba and Baidu.
The app has also disappeared from the digital distribution platform.
It’s unclear if the company was ordered to eliminate H & M’s online presence or if the company acted unnoticed.
