Texas Senator Ted Cruz has “arguably” colluded with Big Tech and the White House, and Jen Psaki’s admission to censorship of disinformation has filed Donald Trump’s lawsuit against social media giants. It says it only “strengthens”.
In May, Facebook banned content related to the origin of COVID-19, including posts suggesting that the virus originated from a Chinese laboratory.
The ban was revoked by Facebook after President Biden issued a 90-day directive to intelligence agencies to investigate the theory.
Mr. Cruz was asked by Maria Bartiromo if she thinks the White House and Facebook are “collusion” with respect to the content to be censored.
“It’s definitely a collusion between Big Tech and the White House,” he told Fox News.
Under Dr. Forch’s leadership as Chief Medical Advisor, the government’s position was that it originated from animals infected with the virus and was likely to infect humans.
Last week, spokesman Jen Psaki told reporters that the White House and Facebook were working together to flag “problematic” posts of disinformation online.
The comments caused anger from Americans who believed in free speech.
Earlier this month, Donald Trump filed a class action proceeding against Twitter, Facebook and YouTube for “censoring” Americans.
Ted Cruz believes the spokesman’s comments only “strengthen” the former president’s case.
“I had to say it was great to see Jen Psaki this week,” he said.
“I wonder if Jen Psaki is paying Donald Trump’s salary, because her press conference will step up President Trump’s proceedings against Big Tech.
“It’s all about what we thought about the Biden administration, the willingness to trample on freedom of speech, and the willingness to trample on the Constitution.
“Everything we were afraid of to use the power of government to silence you is what they are doing, and worse.”
