The company, based in St. Paris, Ohio, said the recall was issued “with great care” following a positive test for Listeria monocytogenes in a greenhouse facility’s stormwater storage tank. Old Souls Farms also said tests were conducted by customers who received contaminated basil.
According to Old Souls Farms, no recall-related illnesses have been reported.
Recalled green products include Algra, Basil, Finster, Green Bibs, Romaine and Spring Mix Green sold in 1-25 lb transparent bags and 1 ounce, 4 ounce sized clamshells. .. And 5 ounces in size.
The lot codes for the affected clamshell green products are 193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198, 201, 202, and 203, located at the bottom of the package. The expiration dates for arugula, finster, green bib, romaine and spring mix are July 23, 25, 26, 27, 29 and 30. The best-by date for basil is July 20-24 and 26-27.

Consumers are encouraged not to consume the recalled greenhouse leafy vegetable products. They should be disposed of immediately.
