At least 15 people were killed and dozens injured when an elevated subway collapsed in the Mexican capital on Monday while a train was passing.
Security camera footage broadcast by local media showed the carriage plunging towards the ground south of the city.
“Unfortunately, 15 people have died so far,” Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum told reporters.
The city’s civil defense department said on Twitter that about 70 people were injured in a dramatic accident.
Paramedics were seen working to rescue the victims from the carriage at Orivos station.
